VIGO is open-source software for transport routing and analysis. It uses GTFS timetables and OpenStreetMap streets.

Choose a workflow

Studio
Import data into the desktop application. Inspect networks, plan journeys, and compare Reach results.
Engine & CLI
Build a City from your source data, run a query, and read the result. The native engine also serves a local HTTP API.
Python
Set up the wrapper and runtime, open a City, and run queries from a script or notebook.

Data formats in 0.5.2

A City is prepared transport data. The engine, compiler, and Python use portable City directories. Studio uses a separate project library and cannot open those directories.

Studio supports Route, Reach, and service comparisons. Use the engine, compiler, or Python for Matrix queries.

Queries

QueryResult
RouteA journey with times, transfers, walking legs, and geometry.
MatrixTravel times for origin–destination pairs.
